Transforming Prisons through Government Projects.

There are several unique challenges to delivering major projects and programmes in government, particularly in projects which look to deliver transformational aims. By looking at prison projects delivered by the government, both in the context of the wider prison system and their position and categorisation within government project portfolios, we can identify key intervention points and implications for policy in project delivery.

Phoebe’s research takes elements of complexity theory, crisis management, systems thinking and project delivery and combines them to achieve a more nuanced understanding of the anatomy of major projects, particularly transformation projects in the justice sector.
